Which projects may qualify
The City lists a set of small residential scopes. Projects outside these categories, or that need deeper review, go through the standard process.
- Roof replacement or repair
- Windows and doors
- Driveways and paving
- Minor kitchen, bath or cabinet work
- Non-structural interior demolition
- Fences, walls and gates
- Pools, trusses, railings and stairs
What usually rules a project out
The City excludes properties in historic districts, properties with open code violations, projects that need structural review (for example a fence over 6 feet) and after-the-fact or legalization work.
Why packages still miss same-day
Most delays come from incomplete packages: a missing product approval, an outdated survey, or files uploaded to ProjectDox without completing the upload task. Checking those before you apply is the single biggest time saver.
